Noelle Abbott, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Scholar

Noelle Abbott is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington, working with Dr. Christina Zhao at I-LABS and Dr. Gabriel Cler in the Speech and Hearing Sciences Department. Noelle completed her doctoral training in the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Language and Communicative Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Tracy Love.

Noelle's research investigates the neural basis of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) across the lifespan, using MRI to study adults with DLD. With Dr. Zhao, Noelle plans to extend her research repertoire to include the use of M/EEG to examine language processing in infants and young children at risk for DLD. Outside the lab, Noelle's hobbies as a Southern California native, now include admiring the giant trees in the PNW and bragging to her family back home about how much greener it is up here…at least until winter arrives and they start sending her sunny pictures at the beach.
