Alexis graduated from the University of Oregon in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. She wrote her thesis on the relationship between how a parent apologizes to their child and the quality of their parenting. Before graduating, she interned at the nonprofit Ophelia's Place and at a research lab at UO specializing in research with children ages 3-4. After graduating, she worked at the Oregon Social Learning Center as a research assistant on projects supporting families in the juvenile justice system. She is excited to learn more about child and infant development and learning through her work at I-LABS.
