Katherine graduated from the University of Washington in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, complemented by minors in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. Before joining the Cognition and Cortical Dynamics Lab (CCDL) as an undergraduate, Katherine gained valuable experience as a research assistant in the field of human performance with Dr. Nita Shattuck at the Naval Postgraduate School. There she studied diverse facets of human performance, with a primary focus on the impacts of stress and sleep deprivation on health and safety.

As a Research Coordinator for Dr. Chantel Prat in the CCDL, her primary role involves leading the uCLIMB study, training students, and managing the various ongoing projects and activities of the lab. In the CCDL, Katherine is excited to build upon her previous experience as she pursues a career in human cognition, memory, and stress research.
