She received her Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Washington, where she worked as a research assistant in two labs studying infant social and moral development and the bilingual advantage. Her research interests lie at the crossroads of developmental and cognitive psychology. She is interested in the neural basis of cognition, with an emphasis in language acquisition and bilingualism, and their consequences for neural development.
